Seawork 2013 sees the launch of Volvo Penta’s revolutionary IPS propulsion system specifically for marine commercial applications. The new model, with joystick steering control and extended service life, offers dramatically increased efficiency and easier manoeuvring than conventional inboard shaft installations. Volvo Penta’s PTA80 boat, fitted with the new IPS model, will be in Southampton and available for testing. In addition to the new IPS, Volvo Penta will be exhibiting a D13 from their inboard heavy duty range and D6-400 stern drive package for high speed RIB applications.
